The Yobe State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka, led a high-powered delegation on a visit to four traditional palaces today to seek prayers and royal blessings for the party's governorship candidate, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, ahead of the 2027 election.
The delegation, which included the governorship candidate himself, his deputy Barrister Sale Samanja, Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio, senators, House of Representatives members, commissioners, and other party executives from Yobe South Senatorial District, visited the Emirs of Gudi, Tikau, Pataskum, and Fune Emirates.
Speaking at the palaces, Yobe APC state Chairman ,Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka disclosed that the visit was undertaken on the directive of Governor Mai Mala Buni as part of ongoing consultations to seek prayers and guidance from traditional rulers and stakeholders across the state.
He assured that the APC would return to the emirates during the formal campaign period and thanked the monarchs for their warm reception and fatherly support.
In his remarks, the APC Yobe State Governorship Candidate ,Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali pledged to sustain Governor Buni’s development agenda of continuity and consolidation.
He expressed gratitude to Senator Ibrahim Geidam and Governor Buni for the opportunity to serve as Secretary to the Yobe State Government, noting that his years of service under both leaders taught him invaluable lessons in governance and the importance of inclusive leadership.
The Emirs Alhaji Isma'ila Ahmed Dala Ibn Madubu Khaji of Gudi, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammadu Ibn Grema II of Tikau, Alhaji Umaru Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya of Pataskum, and Alhaji (Dr.) Saleh Idriss Ibn Uthman of Fune warmly received the APC team and conferred traditional titles on Wali in recognition of his ties with the emirates.
He was named Sarkin Yakin Gudi, Ajiyan Tikau, and Zannah Kaloma of Pataskum.
Describing Wali as a man of patience, royalty, and integrity, the monarchs urged their subjects to support his candidacy and vote for the APC across all levels in the 2027 elections.
The visits are part of the party’s consultation strategy with traditional rulers, political leaders, and stakeholders across Yobe State as the 2027 governorship race gathers momentum.
