The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe North Senatorial District has reinforced its political dominance ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the state party chairman, Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka, declaring that the ruling party remains the only vehicle capable of delivering good governance in Yobe and Nigeria at large.

Gadaka made the declaration on Thursday at a Yobe North APC grand rally and reception held at the Dandal, Emir's Palace in Nguru, where House of Assembly candidates who contested under the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)for the 2027 election in Machina and Nguru Local Government Areas formally defected to the APC.
The event drew top government officials, party stalwarts, and a mammoth crowd of APC supporters from across the senatorial district.

Addressing the gathering, the APC state chairman commended the defectors for what he described as their courage and foresight in joining the ruling party.
Gadaka noted that the APC remains the only party capable of delivering good governance in Yobe State and Nigeria at large, urging party supporters to remain united and committed to the party's success.
He called on APC faithful to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party's governorship candidate Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, and all national and state Assembly members in the state during the 2027 polls.

Represented by his deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, Governor Mai Mala Buni commended the organisers of the Yobe North APC Grand Rally and called on party supporters to vote for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
In his remarks, the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, assured that he would continue with Governor Buni's policies and programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of the electorate.

The event was graced by APC National Assembly members, State Assembly members, Commissioners, Advisers, Local Government Chairmen, and other party executives, highlighting the party's united front in the zone.

The rally further solidified the APC's stronghold in Yobe North Senatorial District ahead of the forthcoming elections, with party leaders expressing confidence that the wave of defections signals an overwhelming victory for the ruling party in 2027.
