Reconstructed Alhajari Umamah Mosque Becomes Symbol of Unity, Committee Thanks Yobe Governor

Members of the Alhajari Umamah Muslim Mosque Committee in Damaturu have expressed profound gratitude to Yobe State Governor,His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, for the comprehensive reconstruction and upgrade of their community mosque.

The landmark project, which has transformed the former mosque into a fully fledged Juma'at mosque, now provides worshippers with a spacious and conducive environment to observe Friday congregational prayers. 

The reconstruction is expected to accommodate a significantly larger number of devotees, further strengthening the spiritual life of the community.

The formal handover of the reconstructed mosque was marked by the presentation of the completion letter to the committee members by Ali Mai Mala Buni, a representative of the Governor, signifying the official transfer of the project to the community.

In a heartfelt expression of appreciation, the committee also acknowledged the pivotal roles played by the Emir of Damaturu, His Royal Highness Alhaji Shehu Hashimi II Ibn Umar El-Amin Elkanemi, and the Member of the Yobe State House of Assembly representing Damaturu I Constituency, Hon. Nasiru Hassan Yusuf, in ensuring the realization of the project.
The committee noted that the unwavering support, advocacy, and facilitation provided by both the traditional ruler and the lawmaker were instrumental in bringing their long held dream of a befitting Juma'at mosque to fruition.

The gesture has been hailed by community members as a testament to Governor Buni's commitment to the welfare of the people and the promotion of religious development across the state. 
The Alhajari Umamah Muslim Mosque now stands as a symbol of unity and spiritual growth for the residents of Damaturu.
