The election of the association was conducted peacefully at the Damaturu local government town hall under the supervision of the national and state chapters.
Addressing members shortly after overseeing the conduct of the election, the state chairman of the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association, Engineer Muhammad Karumi, applauded the members of the association for organising themselves peacefully throughout the election process.
The state chairman advised the new executives to uphold the constitution of the association and ensure fairness in dealings with their members to move the association forward.
Engineer Karumi stressed the need for unity among members, warning against factional leadership that could weaken the association's structure.
Also speaking NATA national welfare Musa Yahaya called on the new executives to prioritize on members welfare, training and restraining to uplift the image of the association.
He commended the state leadership of the association for providing cordial working relationship with government and other relevant agencies.
In his acceptance speech the newly elected chairman Nigerian automobile technician association Adamu Yahaya thank members for the the trust they have placed in him by electing him as their new chairman.
The newly elected chairman promised to run an open door policy pointing out that the new leadership will work closely with state government, FRSC, VIO and sisters organization to move the association forward.
Those elected are Adamu Yahaya chairman, Adamu Abdullahi vice chairman Abba Aji Shettima Secretary Hussaini Isa Garb, financial secretary, and Engineer Bulama Isah Garba, Auditor.
Others are Musa Bulama, treasurer; Haladu Musa, welfare; Ibrahim Idi, PRO One; Adamu Shuaibu, Marshal; Bukar Garba, provost; and Musa Abdullahi to serve as discipline.
