KACRAN Hails Governor Buni's Transparent Process in Appointment of New Emir of Ngazargamu, Pledges Support for Traditional Institution
The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has commended Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni for what it describes as a transparent, peaceful, and inclusive process that led to the appointment of His Royal Highness Alhaji Yerima Ibn Mahmud as the new Emir of Ngazargamu.
In a press statement signed by its National President, Hon. Khalil Mohd Bello, the association described the appointment as a testament to Governor Buni's deep respect for culture, heritage, and the aspirations of the people of Yobe State.
The association also extended its heartfelt condolences to the government, the Yobe State Council of Chiefs, the Ngazargamu Emirate Council, and the bereaved royal family over the passing of His Royal Highness Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Ibn Saleh Geidam, the late Emir of Ngazargamu, praying Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
KACRAN congratulated the new Emir, Alhaji Yerima Ibn Mahmud, describing his ascension to the throne as well-deserved.
The association noted that the new monarch brings a wealth of experience to the revered throne, having previously served as Executive Chairman of Yunusari Local Government, Member of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and most recently, Commissioner for the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development.
"A distinguished historian, politician, and public servant, the new Emir's extensive experience in governance and public administration positions him uniquely to lead the emirate to greater heights," the statement read.
The association noted that at a time when Nigeria needs stronger unity and responsible traditional leadership, Governor Buni's commitment to upholding cherished traditions while ensuring stability serves as a clear testimony to his dedication to peace, order, and good governance.
As an association that works closely with host communities nationwide, KACRAN pledged its loyalty and full support to the new Emir, assuring His Royal Highness of their cooperation in advancing peace, security, and socio-economic development within the emirate and beyond.
"We are confident that under the wise guidance of the new Emir and the continued support of His Excellency, Ngazargamu Emirate will witness greater harmony, prosperity, and progress for Nigeria and as an example to the world," the statement concluded.
