President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has recorded a historic landslide in the Yobe State leg of the APC presidential primary election, sweeping all 178 political wards across the state’s 17 local government areas.
According to official results announced by the collation officer and coordinator for the state’s primary election, Governor Mai Mala Buni announced that President Tinubu polled a total of 253,804 votes.
This figure represents 91.5 percent of the total registered APC members in Yobe State, underscoring the President’s overwhelming acceptance among party faithful in the state.
Governor Buni, who supervised the exercise, described the outcome as a testament to Tinubu’s visionary leadership and grassroots connection.
He urged party members not to rest on their laurels but to sustain the tempo of mobilization and refine their strategies to ensure total victory for the APC from top to bottom in the general elections.
“What we have witnessed today is a clear message from the people of Yobe. They stand firmly with President Tinubu and the APC.
"We must now convert this primary energy into a comprehensive victory in all subsequent elections,” Governor Buni said shortly after declaring the results.
Multiple reports from the 17 LGAs confirmed that the election was conducted peacefully under tight security.
