NSE Lauds Goniri's Appointment,Hails Gov. Buni's Commitment to Competence




The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Damaturu Branch, has extended its congratulations to Engr. Umarah Mustapha Goniri following his appointment as Chairman Yobe State Rural Electrification Commission.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Damaturu Branch, Engineer Mustapha Abdullahi, led the members in delivering a congratulatory message on Thursday in Damaturu during a courtesy visit by members of the society.

Abdullahi described the appointment as timely and well-deserved, expressing confidence that Goniri's extensive experience and professional integrity would significantly enhance rural electrification efforts across the state. He noted that the selection highlighted the state government's dedication to prioritizing competence and professionalism in critical infrastructure development.

"We are confident that Engr. Goniri will deploy his expertise to expand electricity access in rural communities, thereby driving socio-economic growth and improving livelihoods," Abdullahi stated.

The Chairman of the Society of Engineers, Damaturu Branch,used the opportunity to commend Governor Mai Mala Buni for appointing one of their members, while urging the appointment of more members within the association for the development of the state and the country at large.

The delegation also felicitated with Engr. Mohammed Mustapha, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), on his own appointment as a Permanent Member of the commission, recognizing the dual recognition of engineering professionals in key government positions.
In his response,Engr. Goniri expressed heartfelt appreciation to the NSE delegation for the visit, describing their solidarity as honourable and encouraging. 

He extended profound gratitude to Governor Mai Mala Buni for entrusting him with the critical responsibility, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him through unwavering dedication.

Goniri assured that he would work assiduously to improve rural power supply across the state, emphasizing his commitment to fostering robust collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of sustainable and efficient electrification projects, particularly in underserved communities.
