EFCC Establishes Integrity Clubs in 18 Yobe Schools to Combat Youth Crime

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched its Integrity Club initiative in 18 public secondary schools across the Potiskum Local Government Area, intensifying its campaign against corruption among young Nigerians.

The inauguration, held from February 9 to 11, 2026, saw EFCC officials charging students to embrace honesty and distance themselves from all forms of criminality.

Addressing the students, a team from the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate comprising DSE Jamilu Sale, IEI Babakura Galtimari, and IE-II Salisu Ahmad Muhammad warned against involvement in cybercrime, examination malpractice,forgery, and theft.

"You are the future leaders of tomorrow," the EFCC team stated. "Steer clear of crimes like internet fraud (yahoo yahoo) and other vices that can tarnish your family, community, and the nation."

The students, now inducted as "Red Eaglets," were urged to become advocates for core values such as integrity, discipline, and patriotism within their schools. The officials cautioned that engaging in fraudulent activities like hacking and impersonation leads to severe consequences.

The principals of the benefiting schools commended the EFCC for the initiative,which aims to build character and deter youth involvement in financial crimes.

The newly inaugurated clubs span institutions including Federal Government College Buni-Yadi, Federal Government Girls College Potiskum, and 16 other government day and secondary schools across the local government area.
