Yobe Head of Service Inspects Promotion Exams,Urges Dedication from 3,207 Candidates

Yobe State Head of Service, Alhaji Hamisu Tonga Betara Bularafa, personally inspected the ongoing 2025 Civil Service Promotion Examinations across the state's three designated centers on Saturday,engaging with candidates and reaffirming the government's commitment to workforce development.

A total of 3,207 senior civil servants are sitting for the crucial examinations, which are mandatory for career advancement. 

The candidates are distributed across,Damaturu Centre (Government Girls’ Unity College - GGUC)with 1,852 candidates,Gashua Centre (Umar Suleiman College of Education - USCOE) with 858 candidates and Potiskum Centre (College of Administration, Management and Technology (CAMTECH) with 497 candidates.

During his tour of all three centres, Alhaji Bularafa observed the examination process to ensure fairness and transparency. 

He interacted with candidates, emphasizing the importance of the exams and urging them to reciprocate the government's investment in their professional growth through dedication and integrity in their duties.

"We are dedicated to the growth and development of our civil servants.This examination underscores our commitment to merit-based career advancement. 

"I urge all candidates to approach it with diligence and integrity, and I wish them every success,"said the head of service.

The Rector of CAMTECH Potiskum, Ibrahim Bomai, affirmed the college's commitment to supporting the state government by maintaining effective and reliable examination processes for the promotion exercise.

Alhaji Bularafa was accompanied on the inspection tour by key officials including the Permanent Secretary (Establishment), Shuaibu Ibrahim Amshi; Director of Administration, Mohammed Mustapha Gambo; and the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Yobe State Council, Comrade Rajab Mohammed Isma'il.
