Yobe Deputy Governor Honored as Best Football Deputy Governor of the Year 2025

Yobe State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to football development with the prestigious"Best Football Deputy Governor of the Year 2025"award.  

The award was presented to him by Miss Football Nigeria at the Government House in Damaturu. 

The State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Bello Mohammed Kawuwa, conferred the honor on behalf of the organizers, commending the Deputy Governor’s dedication to promoting sports and youth empowerment in the state.  

Expressing his gratitude, Alhaji Gubana reaffirmed his commitment to supporting grassroots football and fostering talent development in Yobe State. 

The recognition highlights his efforts in advancing sports as a tool for unity and socio-economic growth.
