Experience:Yobe State Consults Retired Perm Secs on Development Strategy

Yobe State  Governor Mai Mala Buni has emphasized the importance of leveraging the wealth of experience of retired Permanent Secretaries to drive development in Yobe State.

Represented by Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, Governor Buni made this known thursday when he convened a meeting with the retired administrators to solicit their opinions and benefit from their vast experience.

The meeting, which aimed to tap into the retirees' knowledge and expertise, was attended all the retired permanent Secretaries in Yobe lead by its Chairman of the Yobe State Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries,Engr. Mai Sanda Lawan.

 Governor Buni highlighted the significant contributions of the retired Permanent Secretaries to the state's development,noting that they had headed various ministries, departments, and agencies, and had played a crucial role in shaping Yobe State into what it is today.

"We need to tap into their wealth of experience to make Yobe State greater and move forward," Governor Buni said. "We had extensive discussions, very interesting interactions, and very open and productive dialogue. 

"Inshallah, their suggestions and recommendations will be forwarded to His Excellency for implementation",said the Yobe SSG.

Earlier in his remarks,the Engr. Mai Sanda Lawan, Chairman of the Yobe State Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries, echoed the Governor's sentiments, emphasizing the association's commitment to supporting the government in all aspects.

 "As technocrats in government, we made significant contributions that enabled the state to achieve its current standing.We will continue to contribute to help the state progress further",said Lawan.

The meeting marked a significant step towards harnessing the collective experience and expertise of Yobe State's retired Permanent Secretaries to drive development and progress in the state.
