Eid-el Kabir:Yobe Declares Sallah Break for Schools
The Yobe State Government,through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has announced a Sallah break for all public and private schools across the state.
In a circular issued on June 2, 2025, by Bukar M. Modu, Director of Schools Management (on behalf of the Honorable Commissioner), the break will run from Wednesday, June 4, 2025 to Sunday, June 15, 2025.
This aligns with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs' declaration of Friday, June 7, 2025, as Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah) Day and the observance of Democracy Day on Wednesday, June 12, 2025.
The Ministry has directed all schools to remain closed during this period to allow students, teachers, and stakeholders to fully participate in the festivities. Academic activities will resume on Monday, June 16, 2025.
