KMT Awards ₦2.9 Million to 29 Outstanding Yobe Students

Development activist Kashim Musa Tumsa, popularly known as KMT, has awarded ₦2.9 million to 29 high-achieving students from Yobe State to promote education and encourage academic excellence.
The students each scoring 300 or above in the recent Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations represent a significant milestone in their educational journeys.
At Saturday’s ceremony in Damaturu,Tumsa expressed pride in the students’accomplishments Each recipient received ₦100,000 for further studies,a gesture KMT
hopes will inspire others to strive for excellence.
Addressing attendees,Tumsa stated,"This celebration is not just about numbers,but the hard work, dedication,and resilience you have shown.You are the future of Yobe, and it is my honor to support your dreams."
Represented by Hajiya Adama Balla, Tumsa emphasized the importance of investing in youth development.
Parents and community leaders witnessed the event, which was filled with excitement.
Hon. Kachalla Ajiya Maina, Yobe State House of Assembly member representing Machina Constituency, spoke on behalf of parents appreciated this unprecedented philanthropic gesture.
"This is the first time an individual has given ₦2.9 million ₦100,000 per student as a gift.We hope others follow this example to motivate students,"Said Maina
"I am grateful for this recognition and support,"said Maryam Hamisu Ado ,one of the awardees, who scored 309 marks in the JAMB exams.
She stated that,this will help to pursue her dream of studying medicine and eventually give back to her community.
